Guided walking tour Haarlem

One of the most beautiful cities in Holland with a rich history and stunning cityscapes, Haarlem offers a treasure trove for every tourist. Haarlem was granted city status in 1245. The city is located on the river Spaarne, hence it also goes with the name “Spaarnestad”. At the end of the Middle Ages it was a flourishing city with beer breweries, a large textile industry and shipyards. Also, Haarlem is the town where painter Frans Hals and Jacob van Ruisdael resided; the first is still commemorated by the museum which bears his name. The beer breweries disappeared altogether, but in recent years Jopen Brewery became a notable brewery.
The town has a nice City Hall, a large square, several worth visiting churches, like the St Bavochurch and the “Grote Kerk” and a nice shopping area.Haarlem is best visited by food and of course with a guided walking tour Haarlem you learn the most about this beautiful town.
